Welcome to Athena’s Blog
We are just beginning a new year, 2025. Here we are in the midst of winter as skies are often gray, winds are fierce, and sunlight is sparse. The lack of sunlight and shorter days limits our exposure to natural sunlight. Natural sunlight is helpful for our mental health as the light promotes better moods and brings us exposure to important doses of Vitamin D. I am always grateful for days of sunshine, despite being cool or cold.
Hence the winter seasons tend to be more difficult for people, regardless if there have been personal experiences with anxiety, sadness, grief, depression, trauma, etc. I am in this category for sure. Plus, winter brings holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. These holidays can also be stressful, distressing, and sad. Especially if someone experiences a loss of family or friends whether recent or in times past.
Managing one’s feelings and stress can be hard anytime, but especially during the holidays. It is with optimism I look forward to 2025. I am able to feel better, be more resilient to sadness, depression , grief, and stress, and live better with IASIS MCN. I have been able to be more motivated with a better focus and energy toward the future while being more comfortable during the day-to-day with better ability to deal with stress, anxiety, and depression.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without IASIS MCN. A good friend recommended I try it. I am really glad I did. It has been over two years now, and I am truly grateful for MCN. It has made a difference in my life, and it is my goal to help as many people as I can, empowering them to be their best selves.
